JANUARY BIBLE STUDY | January 4, 11, 18 at 5pm in the Roanoke Hall
This year January Bible Study looks a bit different! We’re meeting in the Roanoke Hall and will have a different minister presenting each week. We will gather around tables, eat pizza and other snacks, and discuss while we learn. We’ll begin at 5PM and end at 6:15 so you can get home for dinner (if you’re still hungry!) and prepare for the week. We hope you’ll join us for these topics:
January 4: AI Technology, Rob Covington
January 11: What the Bible Says about Women, Lisa Adams
January 18: Worship and Missions Outside the Walls, Ryan Saunders
UPCOMING BIBLE STUDIES
In January, each of our Bible studies will be starting new series!
Wednesday Night Men - The Essential Commandment: A Disciple’s Guide to Loving God and Others
Tuesday Night Women - Believing Jesus: A Journey through the Book of Acts
Wednesday Night Women - Live Free: A Study of Galatians
Thursday Morning Women - Jesus and Women: In the First Century and Now
BUSINESS MEETING | Sunday, January 18 at 5pm
There will be a brief, called business meeting at the beginning of January Bible study at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, January 18. The sole purpose of the meeting shall be to present and approve a timely offer from the Virginia Department of Transportation regarding their need to access our property during an upcoming highway construction project.
EXPERIENCE LOTTIE MOON’S LIFE & LEGACY | CLC Atrium
The Lottie Moon Experience will be on display through December 30. The tour is self-guided, but arrangements for personal, more in-depth tours can be made by contacting the church office. Through courage and conviction, Lottie Moon helped launch one of the most influential missionary movements in history. Educated, privileged, and gifted, she devoted herself to a life of sacrifice so that others may come to know Jesus.
WEEC JOB OPENINGS
We have opportunities available for Preschool Assistant Teachers in both half-day and full-day classes, as well as youth afternoon helpers.
If you love the Lord and love kids and want to be part of this winning team or know someone who does, share our info and contact Tana Adams in the preschool office: (540) 977-0485.
