Robert G. Moore, III was born in Norfolk, VA on August 28, 1946. After graduating from Granby High School, he received his B.A. from Virginia Tech. He then attended Southern Baptist Theological Seminary where he received the Master of Divinity degree in 1972 and the Doctor of Ministries degree in 1983. He was called to be Pastor of Bonsack in October 1976. He and his wife, were married in 1968 and have three children.
Rev. Barry Green - Minister of Music
Barry Green began serving at Bonsack in 1996. He is a native of North Carolina, where he graduated from Gardner-Webb University with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education. After graduation, Barry served for two years as a Missionary Journeyman with the International Mission Board at Clark Field Baptist Church in Angeles City, Philippines. Barry then attended The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, where he earned a Masters Degree in Church Music Ministry. He is married and has two children
Rev. Danny Quirin - Minister of Youth
Danny Quirin began his ministry at Bonsack in January, 1996. A native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, he grew up in Northern Virginia where he met his wife. They married in July of 1983 and now have four children. In 1993 Danny and his family moved to Louisville, Kentucky, where he attended the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He received a Diploma in Christian education with a concentration in youth ministry in December 1995.
Rev. John K. Recktenwald - Minister of Education
John K. Recktenwald was born in Washington, DC on May 5, 1961. After graduating from JEB Stuart High School, he received his B.B.A. from Baylor University. He worked in public and corporate accounting before attending Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where he received the Masters of Religious Education degree in 1991. He was called to serve as Minister of Education and Outreach at Bonsack in May 1998. He is married and has three children.
Rev. Scot Finley - Minister of Senior Adults
Scot Finley began serving at Bonsack in 2001. He is a native of Memphis, TN. Upon graduation from Union University, Jackson, TN., he did graduate studies in New Testament Systematic Theology and Church History at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. Scot earned his Masters of Divinity at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. While in Memphis Scot served in several churches. He is married and has two children.
Carolyn Krisha - Director of Children's Ministry
Carolyn Krisha joined Bonsack in 2003 as Director of Children’s Ministries. Carolyn, a Roanoke native, graduated from Va. Western Community College with a degree in Early Childhood Education and from Bluefield College with a degree in Organizational Management with emphasis in Church Application. She currently lives in Vinton and can usually be found with a grandchild (or 2) in tow.
