Food Pantry

 

The Food Bank Ministry of Bonsack Baptist Church is a cooperating food pantry with SW Virginia Feeding America Food Bank in Salem.  Our mission is to provide supplemental food to needy families.  The Food Pantry is financially supported by the church budget, a percentage of our church’s world hunger offering, generous individual and class gifts and food drives led by our mission organizations.    

There are many ways in which individuals can be a part of the food pantry ministry.  There are those who select and arrange for food delivery, those that daily pick up baked goods at the Blue Ridge Food Lion, those who, on Thursday, greet guests and prepare paperwork, those who prepare boxes of food and those who help guests get their food carts to their cars.  Feel free to visit us on any Thursday between 9 and 11 a.m.  For further information you may contact our Minister of Senior Adults and Food Pantry Director, Scot Finley at 977-5701 x 223.
