|
| Performance Venue | |
| • Avery Fisher Hall is part of the famed Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts complex (see “Lincoln Center Map”) • Images of the Lincoln Center |
|
| Cost | |
• Performer: $640 DCINY fee + hotel (between $225–$400+ for quad occupancy, depending on the hotel we book) + travel (approx. $100) + food (see “Choral Performer Participation Inclusions” & “Hotel and Travel Cost Worksheet”). • Non-performer fee is $320 DCINY fee + hotel (between $225–$400+ for quad occupancy, depending on the hotel we book) + travel (approximately $100) + food (see “Choral Performer Participation Inclusions” & “Hotel and Travel Cost Worksheet”). • We are responsible for booking our own hotel. We are pursuing several avenues, including the use of an area travel agency. A goal would be to have all participants stay in the same hotel (see “Hotel and Travel Cost Worksheet” for hotel information provided by DCINY). • Individuals will be responsible for their own food on the trip. On our last trip, we were able to find reasonably priced (for New York) options close to the hotel for all meals. |

| DCINY Timeline | |
• Registration Form completed and returned with tentative numbers of 75 “Performers” and 30 “VIP Patrons” (based on 2008 Mark Hayes numbers). We can increase these numbers but are limited by available slots in the choir: it will behoove us to get our names in as timely as possible to guarantee individual participation. We can also decrease our numbers but any payments you have made will be non-refundable. • Invoice has been received (see “Invoice from DCINY”) with payment schedule (we have asked that the due date for the first deposit of $200 be changed from 3/01/10 to 3/15/10). We have also asked that our final payment deadline be changed from 12/01/10 to 1/31/11. |

| Publicity | |
| • See “Press Release for Bonsack Baptist Church” • Publicity Committee begin work first of 2011 |
|
| Goals | |
| • Christlike Excellence. This will be a steep hill for us to climb musically, and will require a very focused and dedicated effort by all participating to reach musical excellence. The unusual musical and logistical requirements will provide “opportunities” for growing Christlikeness. • 100% attendance as a goal. I recognize that this will be unrealistic, but I am more interested in the long-term musical and spiritual growth of our choir than I am in a one-time concert in New York. Our greatest potential for growth will be directly proportional to how close we get to 100% participation. • Outreach and In-reach. |
|
| Participation Requirements | |
| • Year-long commitment to choir (beginning May, 2010, through concert, June 19, 2011) • 80% commitment to rehearsal attendance • Regular attendance at Bonsack worship |
|
| Fund-Raising | |
| • The Music Council recommends that we do not do “individual account” fund-raising but possibly sponsor a general fund-raiser to be used to offset bus costs. • With lead time available, individual members could do their own fund-raising. |
|
| Payments | |
| • We will use payment envelopes for each of the three payments. | |
